In my daily pratice I try to listen more than I speak, everyone can be a teacher if you are able to just listen. By practicing mediitation you are able to quiet the mind, stay present and actually listen! Keep meditating, I am so proud of you all ❤ xx Meg
2021-03-23 16:33:12 +0000 UTC View Post✨ Sunday thoughts : meditation is like looking at the task manager of your windows system. You get to see all the processes that maybe running in the background that you are not even consciously aware of. And then you can decide which ones you want to switch off. It might be stubborn and take time to kill the process but at least now you are aware of it. The ones that are hogging the memory and space of your life. ❤ xx Meg
2021-03-21 16:34:16 +0000 UTC View Post✨ What is the State of Flow? It is when someone is totally immersed in the task they're doing, may that be washing the dishes, cleaning, or just taking a walk. Through meditation practice you can easily get to this place of flow so that you are more present in your day to day activities. I challenge you to entering the stae of flow during one activity today ❤ xx Meg
2021-03-19 16:45:00 +0000 UTC View Post✨ What do you expect to acheive through meditation? By quieting the mind, we become more aware of our thoughts, thoughts are words and feelings we can choose to pick up and we often get tangled in them, thinking that they define our whole being. Actually they don't. The more we create distance from negative thoughts, the less they are "you". Only out of empty spaces can we become who we are meant to be. Only out of stillness can we hear the universal message. From nothingness, that something is born. From silence, the wisdom of our being is heard. Meditation is a giving of space to our being, a state of nothingness, a state of infinite growth. Hope this resonates with you ❤ xx Meg

2021-03-17 16:47:58 +0000 UTC View Post✨ So you may be wondering why when I meditate I hold my fingers in a certain way, well that is called "mudras". Mudras are those hand gestures that meditators hold while meditating. There are many different mudras out there and many traditions seem to have their favorites. Different traditions have different explanations, meanings, and purposes for each mudra. My go to is connecting the first finger and the thumb together, this gesture is used to improve intuition, alertness, and sensory powers. It also purifies your emotions and thoughts. What are your favorite mudras? ❤ xx Meg

2021-03-12 21:39:22 +0000 UTC View Post✨ Now that we have gotten to know the how - to of meditation, we can dive a little deeper in the science of different brain waves! While meditating the goal is to get the brain into a "theta state", in this state we can actually start to heal ourselves! Here is a list of what kinds of different brain waves our brain goes through in a day. Hopefully you find this as fascinating as I do ❤ xx Meg ◾ Epsilon is associated with very high states of meditation. This is a state of out of body experiences, my favorite way to reach this state is through Holotropic Breathwork ◾ Delta is when you are in the dream state or sleeping ◾ Theta is where you are when you meditate, or when you are light sleeping ◾ Alpha is awake but calm ◾ Beta is awake and alert ◾ Gamma is the associated with learning ◾ Hyper Gamma is high level of brain organizations, common in Tibetan Monks during meditation ◾ Lambda is high level of awareness or oneness with the universe
2021-03-11 20:07:24 +0000 UTC View Post✨ Just a HUMP day reminder, you're the entire universe expressing itself as a human for a little while. You're the orange hanging on the tree, the wave rising and falling in the ocean, the headlight on the car shining for a few minutes. All of these things are just an extension of the whole, and so are you. When we completely realize this, there is a feeling of oneness that pervades our entire conscious state. We feel at home. We realize we are the whole works. The real you never dies because the universe cannot die. The real you can never be truly limited because the universe isn't limited. Everyone you see is essentially you, and you realize you should treat them as such. Now lets spread love throughout our day, ❤ xx Meg

If you're wondering what sound healing is, it's the idea of healing the body through different hertz frequencies! How fascinating right!! In this photo I am playing the 228 hertz sound bowl, this helps heal feelings of guilt, fear or trauma. Maybe I'll do a video of me playing it and let you see decide how you feel. 😉 xx Meg
2021-03-09 20:16:23 +0000 UTC View Post✨ Mondays are a great time to start a weekly affirmation! What are affirmations you may wonder? Affirmations are a self-help strategy used to promote self-confidence and belief in your own abilities. You have probably used affirmations in your life with out even knowing. Regular repetition of affirming statements about yourself can encourage your brain to take these positive affirmations as fact. When you truly believe you can do something, your actions often follow. Once I started using affirmations my life changed dramatically! This week I am using "Everything is always working out for me", when I am running late because of traffic, I repeat "Everything is always working out for me." These small shifts in the mind can make HUGE impacts! Enjoy your week ❤ xx Meg

Doing so can give you power over your emotions ◾ take a break from social media, even if its an hour a day
2021-03-05 19:07:47 +0000 UTC View Post✨ One of my biggest struggles when I started to meditate was how to stay present during the meditation. Our minds are blazingly fast, and you can jump from thing to thing more than once a second, this is why meditation is such a powerful tool to become a superhuman! I put 100% focus into my two breaths, and I treat that as the barrier between my regular and meditative states. When I feel myself leaving the present, I take my two breaths and enter it once again. Counting the breath brings you back to your breath. Acknowledging that your mind has wandered and then coming back to your breath is the easiest way to stay present, as you continue to practice I promise it gets easier and soon you'll be sitting in a 30 minute mediation like its nothing 😉 xx Meg
2021-03-04 20:11:00 +0000 UTC View Post✨ How often have you rushed out the door and into your day without even thinking about how you’d like things to go? Pausing to practice mindfulness for just a few minutes at different times during the day can help your days be better, more in line with how you’d like them to be. The easiest way is to set an intention for the day, your intention can be something like, “Today, I will be kind to myself; be patient with others; give generously; stay grounded; persevere; have fun; eat well,” Try this for 21 days and see how your day improves ❤ xx Meg

2021-03-02 19:26:26 +0000 UTC View Post✨ How important is gratitude in your daily life? Gratitude is defined as “the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness.” It is an often under appreciated virtue, that also compliments other virtues such as hope, joy, and peace. Not only does gratitude make you feel more appreciation for your life, it is the best defense against it’s evil twin—resentment. One of my AM rituals is to write down 3 things I am grateful for, then throughout the day when I become annoyed I repeat these things, by doing this you start training your mind to find the best in any situation. What are 3 things you are grateful for today? ❤ xx Meg

2021-02-28 01:44:43 +0000 UTC View Post✨ One of the most important things during meditation is our breath. We have been breathing our entire life but what if I told you we have actually been breathing wrong? Our breath is typically shallow, while meditating we want to breath deeper, expanding the stomach. Take it in steps. Instead of focusing on controlling the entire breath, just do the inhale. Slowly fill up the lungs, then relax and let them deflate at their own pace. Breath in slowly for 4, hold for 2, and out for 6. This breathing exercise can be done anywhere at any time, at work, on the train, stuck in traffic. We always have our breath to come back to ❤ xx Meg
