New Year, Better Me: 15 Resolutions for 2025
I like to give myself a list instead of a single resolution every year, usually of things that I've noticed were problematic the year prior. It gives me a good idea on what's important for me to focus on in the coming year without setting a single huge goal that I will feel awful for failing.
01. De-influence Myself: No spending on anything unnecessary and frivolous. If I don't need it, I'm not buying it. (Occasional exceptions apply as a reward)
02. Get Fit as Fuck: Eat better, exercise regularly, lose 20lbs to return to healthy weight category for my bodytype. This is the year I crush a watermelon with my thighs.
03. Stop Doom Scrolling Social Media: Just post then log off.
04. Read at least 12 books: One a month. No problem.
05. Leave hair alone and let it GROW: DO. NOT. FUCKING. SHAVE IT! STOP. FUCKING. BLEACHING. IT!

07. Stop wasting time watching mindless trash on YouTube: Play video games, watch movies, catch up on TV shows, read, craft... anything but mindless browse the web while watching crime & bodycam videos.

09. Declutter the Apartment: If I haven't used it, worn it, or need it then it goes!
10. Learn More Instruments: Ocarina, Guitar, Bass, & Ukelele have been collecting dust and this makes them sad.
11. Create and operate a better work plan/schedule: Structure my days better
12. Keep the Apartment Clean
13. Leave the Apartment More: Go for a walk in the woods or the waterfront, go to the library, I don't care, just fucking go outside.
14. Write the first draft of Oathbreaker: It has been stewing in that noggin for
13 years... write it already!
15. Become a morning person: I hate this one, but admittedly sleeping all day does make it really hard to do resolution number 13.
If I were to narrow it all down though I think I'd say "Enjoy the little things in life and treat your body better."
