Some of my best tips for traveling with a dog: • checkout blogs and websites for all the local laws, best dog friendly places and personal experiences from other paw friendly travelers • book through Airbnb for best dog accommodations and always message the owner before booking to make sure! • even if hotels have weight restrictions or extra pet fees I contact them via email or phone to see if they will accept a bigger dog or waive the extra pet fee since he’s an assistance animal (usually they will say yes) • never assume a restaurant/hotel/beach or other location is or is not dog friendly... just ask! • don’t forget all your doggy essentials like passport, paperwork, meds, or a favorite toy • search “dogsof(location you’re in)” and find other doggy friends in your area for a play date! • teach your dog manners so they can be a good travel companionn!
