Added 2023-11-21 18:17:50 +0000 UTCHow I conquered my fear I have a confession to make... I actually only learned to swim a couple years ago🤭 I even almost drowned a few times. It all started when I was a kid. We went on a picnic with my parents by the lake. There, my mom's friend took me on a lap ride. At first it was fun, but at one point the circle flipped over and I went to the bottom. My dad quickly dived into the water and managed to save me 🏊♀️ Then I had a strong fear of water. The fear became even stronger when a few years later my friends and I went swimming at the river😬 I started to go into the water, it was shallow, but then I hit a cliff and fell sharply into the depths. I started sinking and trying to get out of the water. My friends thought I was just messing with them. I was lucky, I was able to grab onto their bodies and swam to the top. Growing up, I realized that I needed to deal with this fear. My friend helped me a lot, she was a great swimmer and persuaded me to start going to the pool with her🩱 She taught me how to swim and was able to prove that I shouldn't be afraid of water. And this year I flew to Montenegro, by the way, I already told you about this trip. There I swam in the sea for the first time in my life. It was incredible, I felt so free! I was even able to swim to the buoys myself and I wasn't scared. Now I am very proud that I was able to overcome this fear 🎉
