I came to New York with some very general ideas and expectations. I imagined a huge city with a lot of homeless people, quite dirty, with trash bags scattered everywhere, and generally a bit chaotic. Honestly, I wasn't really sure what to expect.
When I arrived, I was surprised to find that the city is actually quite clean for such a massive metropolis. It's very put-together, and the way it soars vertically is incredibly beautiful. The first glimpse I got was during a taxi ride from JFK airport. As we drove through Brooklyn, the view of Manhattan was just...wow. Absolutely amazing. So tall, so layered, just a dense concentration of skyscrapers. And yet, you could still make out so many details in the buildings, and the overall landscape was so beautiful. It was just absolutely incredible to take it all in ❤️
