I finish my set, legs burning, and head their way—though my only mission is the cleaning wipes stand just behind them.
As I pass, one of them stops me with a sly grin and says, “Is that really all you?”
I knew exactly what she meant. I flashed a smile, gave her a smooth wink, and kept it moving like it was just another day.
Behind me, I caught their laughter—giddy, almost breathless. That kind of laugh that’s less about humor and more about being flustered.
