I started my set with one of my favorite songs to play on guitar, Riptide by Vance Joy 🌊
To my surprise, a booking agent was the host for this open mic and came up to me after to get my info and he asked me to play another set 🥺
I really hope one day music can be my full time job, it’s one of the few things I’m passionate about next to writing poetry.
Also, I got drûnk last week and applied for college??
Also to my surprise, I got a call from the admissions office this week saying I was accepted?!?! I applied for a creative writing program that has a focus in poetry, and I can minor in psychology, which I think could really help my writing as I tend to reflect a lot on mental health and addiction in my work. 🖊
I need to apply for financial aid and then I can start my first term in January 🥺
Super nervous because I have a lot on my plate as it sits, not sure if I can handle full time classes on top of everything else, but I guess I won’t know until I try, right?
