Ingrown hairs happen with waxing because of one of my favorite aspects of waxing... hair thinning. When your hair is pulled from the follicle (waxing), the hair grows in thinner and more brittle. Your Brazilian area already has a faster skin cell turnover rate than most, if not all, of your body — this means that without proper exfoliation, the hairs will struggle to penetrate the surface dead skin cell layers and result in ingrown hairs. Ingrown hairs are a regular thing a waxer will see in their wax room — I mean, the goal is not to. But it’s like when I’m doing facial skin treatments ... on someone’s face. The GOAL is to not see acne or, say, signs of aging. But I would on the daily because my clients are coming to me to perform a skincare treatment on them. To give them tips on their home-care skin regimen. 💡🥰💡🥳
