Throwback to when I bought my house and painted my office for the first time in August 2020 during a heat wave! Many many years ago I had a joke with a lover that we called “Hot girls on sketchy ladders”. I don’t know where this inside joke emerged, but it’s persisted for nearly 2 decades. We are still in touch and I wanted to send him a summer treat so I thought I would attempt a pin up style shoot. It was a nice idea but since then I’ve learned that trying to take pin up poses while actually doing home renovation is too much of a context shift mentally, and doing it during a heat wave is extra hard. Still, I persisted and even wore stupid heels on a sketchy ladder. It was so wobbly and I really had to use my core strength to stay steady , which made me even warmer! I am really excited about the new paint color I chose for my office in summer 2022, and I’m proud of myself for improving my photography & fixing up the lighting in my office! It’s a perpetual project but I'm enjoying the process.
