

The best technique to combat anxiety is thought testing. So, ask yourself:
1. Are there any facts to support this thought? Or is this just my fantasy?
2. Is there another way to look at the situation?
3. Is this happening to me right now? If this is happening, what can I do about it/how can I help myself?
4. What would I say to a friend if they shared these thoughts with me?
Sometimes a thought is just a picture in our head that has nothing to do with reality, especially when we unreasonably complete negative scenarios in our head. To deal with negative thoughts, the easiest way is to bring yourself back to the present moment, where these thoughts are not present, where it is safe. These questions will help you do just that ☝️
