Only sharing this because I learned a priceless lesson: I overestimated my ability as a skier yesterday for my first time back on this season believing itβs just like riding a bike or that I canβt let fear or caution delay me from an experience right away- when caution & asking for guidance is actually wisdom when itβs been a minute. β· Getting pulled down a mountain in a body bag was trippy af to say the least but so glad it was not worse! Flipped & dislocated my knee after losing control (& I can pinpoint the moment before that when my mind panicked - a rarity - that allowed it to happen) causing my knee to dislocate / sprain. ππ§ Iβm fine but it immediately felt like the universe toying with my psyche via another death simulation & I was certainly sorry to all the skiers & snowboarders at the bottom whom I possibly triggered seeing me dragged down the mountain in a red body bag by a wonderful medic π₯²π€£ (Sam!) as they waited to go up the liftβ¦ (& they wanted to zip it completely over my head but I thought Iβd get claustrophobic LOL) but hey all is well that ends well & the mountains still have my heart. New content being edited from last week though - thanks for reading. πͺ
