PERFORMANCE, so you i can pump in the barrel front side and back side, i can duck dive, i just need to sit roughly 25ft inside of everyone, thats the difference! I am comfortable taking off later i sacrifice and early entry for more control on the face of the wave! Leashes i tend to keep just longer than the board itself 10ft board? 12ft leash 8ft board? 10ft leash 7’5 like this? My fcs 8ft leash! Ties leash string close to board to it doesnt tombstone against you and rip thru the board! So much of the barrel is often missed due to a large bottom turn, a smaller board allows you to knife earlier getting more barrel time! Cons? Less paddle power is really the only one! What would you sacrifice in performance for more or less paddle power?
