Apples are classic! What’s your favorite? I’m typically more of a Granny Smith gal, but I opted for these Sweet tango apples to change it up. Fruit is a great way to consume vitamins and fiber. Fiber is important to maintain regular digestion + helps decrease the rate of sugars digestion (helping prevent bl00d sugar spikes). High fructose corn syrup is different and is digested quickly. You never have to worry about high fructose corn syrup in fruit unlike some sugary drinks or jams. I love apples because they are an easy to go snack... but I also love eating them at home with peanut butter 😋 Aside from eating apples as a snack I enjoy them with my breakfast or as the start of my breakfast. Eating in the morning isn’t always easy for me but fruits in general help me get going 💪🏼 Information about apples: - Can contain 2-4g of fiber - Contains soluble fiber which feeds our healthy gut bacteria - They have a low glycemic index (ranging from 29-44) - A great source of vitamin c, a common antioxidant found in fruits - Potassium is the main mineral found in apples, it’s good for heart health and muscle cramps
