In spite of her heart condition, Lyssa loved being spooked so she didn't think twice about visiting the new haunted house in town. Her friends couldn't make it so she had to go alone but that was okay... until she noticed how hard and fast her heart was beating.
The fear was getting the better of her, putting too much strain on her weak heart. She tried to make it quickly through the rest of the haunted house so she could sit down, but soon found herself alone, heart pounding irregularly, in a part of the house that no one else was exploring. It was dark and the cobwebs brushed against her, making her heart beat even faster. She was struggling for breath, with each new creak and groan causing fearful reactions from her desperate heart. She needed to get to an exit, but she couldn't move, couldn't get enough air...
