Added 2025-01-08 23:58:51 +0000 UTCI had a free room offered to me from MFC and as always I’m very grateful but I’ve been thinking it over and I’ve decided that I won’t be attending AVN this year due to the strike at Virgin Hotel Las Vegas.
I haven’t been as active lately for personal reasons and so because it wouldn’t hurt me financially to cancel, I would prefer to not cross the picket line.
No judgment to anyone else who will be attending because they have spent a great deal of money to be able to go, or have contracts and obligations to the convention or show.
Personally I have kept a low profile for the past 12 months because I needed some time off after a bit of burnout and I was planning on using AVN as a bit of a launching point to come back to my normal streaming activities but after learning about the strike and accompanying protests, I’ve decided attending this year would just not be an experience I would enjoy participating in knowing what I would be walking into and even indirectly supporting.
For those of you going, have a great time, Hopefully I’ll see you there next year.
