A few weeks ago I started physical therapy to correct some real mobility issues that have been a constant hurdle for many years. I’m starting to feel feeling again in areas I didn’t know I could even feel at all. Proof that “you don’t know what you don’t know” applies to your proprioception as well. I told my trainer “I didn’t know I could even move that way.” That’s when I realized I needed more than training. I needed actual therapy to fix some things so I can get back to hitting it harder than ever. Soon. Very soon. I have 4 sessions left and then they want to turn me loose. But the things I’ve learned about myself and the tools I have in my box now have been worth the time, effort , and not to mention money. Physical therapy ain’t cheap. Insurance deductibles almost make it cost prohibitive for me. Now I understand why so many people just give up and ask their doctor to give them a prescription for pain instead. Because the insurance company will actually pay for that. Anyway there’s work to do. My house cleaner shows up at 10 am today to help me get this place all fixed up nice. It’s a surprise to my wife. I’m sure she thinks something is up. I told her not to be home this morning because I was having a friend over to help me do something. She assumed immediately I was going to make content and someone else was going to help. But maybe that’ll happen too. Maybe I’ll scrub the floor and my house cleaner to hold the video camera. 😂
