I was going for “Hippie in the front, Princess in the back.” The base is craft paper ribbon that I painted and braided to look like seaweed. On the back, the band around the head has multiple pieces made from Abalone, two black “pearls”, shark teeth, and the center bit is made of driftwood and Wampum/Quahog The smallest loop has seaglass beads (artificially tumbled for consistency- the rings I made were real seaglass I collected myself), the medium loop has freshwater pearls, and the largest loop has painted sea snail shells.
