I don't much like going swimming at the beach because sand gets in my bikini, but I like hearing the waves and the sound of the ocean. When I go to the park, I like being next to the pond, watching the fish swim around, the geese or ducks bathing themselves. I like hanging out near the waterfalls or being behind one; the cool mist as the water flows down and hits surfaces. I like going to the aquarium and seeing how the push and pull of water affects the animals, how much they like to swim and do laps around as they watch us humans. I like and miss the rain. Being born in and living in Florida before spoiled me I think. Whenever it would rain, it'd relax me so much that I'd take a nap. When it didn't rain, I would listen to the sounds online through my headset until I got myself one of those little waterfalls that you plug in. During hurricane season when the power would go out, I'd read or paint. It helped me focus. Heck! I named myself after the rainwater lmao. Amamizu = rainwater. But moving here to California really made realize how much I appreciated the rain. I'm grateful for it, seeing and hearing the drops hit the window, the shade it brings, how green the grass grows afterwards. At some point when I was younger, I even thought I was like a waterbender or something lolz. I thought I'd make it rain just by thinking about it. I felt in sync with it.
