Put your lips on my skin where the sun kisses me. I was always a homebody growing up. I'd stay in my room to do homework, watch TV, play games, read, paint, etc. There is a lot you can do in a room lolz. I could spend hours doing one thing; I'd barely look at the time. And then it would all of a sudden be dark outside and I'd have to turn on my lamp to continue with whatever I was doing. But during the day, I liked to let the sunlight in. I had thin or sheer curtains before, so the sun would wake me up. Sure, living in Florida, the clouds would usually be in the way, but I could always tell when it was time to wake up. Moving to California, the sun is stronger and hotter so now I have blackout curtains and just 1 window in my room compared to the 3 I had in my old room. I wake up a bit later but I try not to sleep in because then it fucks me up the rest of the day. I have an alarm or 2 that give me a nudge to open my eyes. I see the slit of light coming in and that's my new way of knowing to wake up. As most of you know, I like going to the park every week and I enjoy the sunlight there. I wanted that sunlight to stay with me, so one day, rather than turning on all the lights in my dark room during the day, I opened the curtains. I never bothered to do it before for several reasons, one being that we have neighbors behind our house and since my room is at the back, behind my room. I was iffy on having them open but I got used to it. I just pull the curtains enough to let the light in, and it's relaxing to me. It helps me focus in a way to try to be productive before it's dark outside. Of course, when I play games or watch TV, I like to close the curtains but that's really the only time I do. It's nice.
